Assessments
Summit strongly recommends that every student participate in an assessment. Most colleges require assessment scores as part of their admissions process. Students are expected to determine which assessment is preferred by the college(s) they intend to apply to.
ACT
Early College students interested in taking the assessment can register through ACT. Summit Learning Charter is not a test administration site. Students interested in registering for the ACT should work directly with their Summit advisor as students will need Summit’s CEEB code to register for the exam.
PSAT/SAT
For students who plan on submitting SAT scores for their college applications, Summit strongly recommends that students take both the PSAT as a 10th grader, and the SAT as an 11th grader. The PSAT is designed to prepare a student to take the SAT as an 11th grader. The PSAT is offered once a year – usually in October.
Students can register for the assessment through College Board. College Board offers many test prep modules through their website. College Board administers, proctors and delivers scores to colleges and universities as instructed by the student. Summit Learning Charter is not a test administration site. Students interested in registering for the PSAT or the SAT should work directly with their Summit advisor as students will need Summit’s CEEB code to register for the exam.
